  1. Students are enrolled in April.
  2. If you wish to apply for the Special Selection of Working Individuals Examination, refer to the Application Guide for the Special Selection of Working Individuals Examination.
  3. Applicants for the Cooperative Graduate School System and foreign students may apply for the Special Selection of Working Individuals.
  4. Doctoral Programs in Earth Evolution Sciences, Biological Sciences, and Appropriate Technology and Sciences for Sustainable Development will accept application for Graduate Admission for February 2018 (to be conducted in January and February 2018) as stated below:
    • Earth Evolution Sciences: 4 (Includes a few Cooperative Graduate School students and working individuals.)
    • Biological Sciences: 22 (Includes 5 Cooperative Graduate School students and a few working individuals.)
    • Appropriate Technology and Sciences for Sustainable Development: 4 (Includes 1 Cooperative Graduate School student and 2 working individuals.)

2. Eligibility for Application

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria.

(A) No eligibility screening is required for the following individuals:

  • Individuals who have earned or expect to earn a master’s degree by March 2018
  • Individuals who have earned or expect to earn a specialized degree by March 2018
  • Individuals who have earned or expect to earn a degree equivalent to a master’s degree or a specialized degree in a foreign country by March 2018

(B) Eligibility screening is required for the following individuals:

  • Individuals who have been recognized by the University of Tsukuba Graduate School through the eligibility screening to have academic ability equivalent or superior to that of a master’s or specialized degree holder and will be 24 years of age or older by March 2018
