We will determine the students to be admitted by evaluating the submitted documents and their academic skills as a whole.

Doctoral Program in Earth Evolution Sciences Conduct an interview individually, approximately 25 minutes for each applicant.
Foreign students may conduct the presentation and interview in English.

  2. 2.In the oral examination, applicants are required to give a presentation on their master’s thesis and research plan (15 minutes). An LCD projector is available for use on site. A computer is also available, but it is preferable if you can bring your own laptop (with your presentation file saved to it). The presentation will be followed by an interview.

  1. 1.Submit your TOEIC Official Score Certificate (with photo attached) or the TOEFL Examinee Score Record (with photo attached) at the time of application (photocopy is not accepted). Scores on tests taken within two years from the examination day are valid.
  2. 2.Foreign students who cannot submit the TOEIC Official Score Certificate (with photo attached) or the TOEFL Examinee Score Record (with photo attached) at the time of application must take a foreign language (English) examination conducted separately. The details will be sent by e-mail.
  3. 3.Scores of TOEIC and TOEFL are evaluated based on the reference scores shown below. A score equal to or over the reference score is evaluated as perfect, and a lower score is proportionately reduced.
