2. Eligibility for Admission

General Admission (For April enty)

Applicants will be deemed eligible if they meet one of the following requirements:

  • Individuals who have graduated or who will graduate from a Japanese four-year university by March 2019
  • Individuals who have earned or will earn a bachelor’s degree in Japan by March 2019
  • Individuals who have graduated or expected to graduate from a university outside Japan that implements 16 or more years of a school curriculum up to university graduation, and earned a bachelor’s degree by March 2019
  • Individuals who have been designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology

General Admission (For October 2019 Entry)

Applicants will be deemed eligible if they meet one of the following requirements:

  • Individuals who have graduated or who will graduate from four-year university by April to September 2019.
  • Individuals who have earned or will earn a bachelor’s deghree by April to September 2019.
  • Individuals who have graduated or expected to graduate from a univeristy outside of Japan that implements 16 or more years of a school curriculum up to universirt graduation, and earned a bachelor’s degree by April to September 2019.
  • Individuals who have been designated by the Minister of Education, culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
  • Individuals who has recognized by the University of Tsukuba Graduate School through the eligibility screening to have academic ability equivalent or superior to that of a bachelor’s specialized degree holder and will be 22 years of age or older by September 2019.

Special Selection of Working Individuals

Applicants will be deemed eligible if they meet one of the following requirements and have or expect to have at least one year of full-time or part-time working experience by March 2019. (This includes employment at a company, public office, educational institution and other organizations, and homemaking.)

  • Individuals who have graduated from a Japanese four-year university
  • Individuals who have earned a bachelor’s degree
  • Individuals who have graduated from a university outside Japan that implements 16 or more years of a school curriculum up to university graduation, and earned a bachelor’s degree
  • Individuals who have been designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
