6. Screening Criteria
We will determine the students to be admitted by evaluating the submitted documents and their academic skills as a whole.

Official Score Certificate/Report of TOEIC, Examinee Score Report or Test Taker Score Report issued on and after August 1st, 2019 of TOEFL, or Test Report Form of IELTS (Academic Module) taken after January 2018 is valid. When applying on our web entry system, you can choose to be interviewed remotely if it is difficult for you to come to University of Tsukuba and to be interviewed on our campus face to face.
A remote interview is restricted to connect to our university over skype from outside Japan.
As a general rule, while having a skype interview, you must be in a public place proper for taking an entrance examination.
To have a skype interview, you must ensure the stability of communication environment including voice and video at the time of the oral examination day designated by the University.
Please note that if the instability of your communication environment prevents the interview from going properly, you might be marked absent.
As for the schedule of the oral examination, please refer to the ‶Timetable of the oral examination” that will be sent by email.
