7. Announcement of Final Results and Admission Procedure

Announcement of Final Results

The examinee numbers of successful applicants will be published on University of Tsukuba Web Entry System (https://entry.ap-graduate.tsukuba.ac.jp/) and letters of acceptance will be dispatched to them by registered mail or courier service on the same day. *Please note that we will not respond to any inquiries regarding your selection results.

Enrollment Procedure

  1. Enrollment Procedure Guidelines (which include documents to be submitted before entrance) will be sent out to successful applicants at the address provided on application. Follow the direction in the Guidelines.
    Note:
    The successful applicants need to notify TIAS Admission Office by email (tias-admin@un.tsukuba.ac.jp) in advance if they are moving house permanently before the date above or travelling when the documents are expected to be delivered.

  2. Estimated Expenses Upon Entrance

    1. 1.Entrance fees 282,000 Japanese Yen (nonrefundable)
    2. 2.Tuition
      Yearly Amount: 535,800 Japanese Yen
      (Oct. – Mar. : 267,900 Japanese Yen, Apr. – Sep. : 267,900 Japanese Yen)

      Note 1: Fees are subject to change upon and after enrollment and will be applied at the time of change.
      Note 2: The Government-Sponsored (Japanese Government Monbukagakusho scholarship) foreign students are exempted from paying the admission fee and the tuition.

      All applicants with a full-time job need to submit a document or a letter (e.g., an order for a training course, a letter for a leave of absence, or an approval letter) from the employer to prove that they are available to complete the program.

  3. International students are required to acquire a status of residence that permits enrollment in a graduate school, in accordance with the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act (Cabinet Order No. 319 of 1951), prior to the admission procedure.
    Applicants who wish to enroll in University of Tsukuba as an international student must acquire a status of residence of “Student.”
