Master’s Program Psychology 14 students The number includes students who apply for the Cooperative Graduate School System.
  1. Students enroll in April.
  2. The Subprogram in General Psychology and Subprogram in Clinical Psychology are in the Master’s Program in Psychology. The Subprogram in Clinical Psychology is an authorized Class 1 Designated Graduate School by the Foundation of the Japanese Certification Board for Clinical Psychologists. Furthermore, the Subprogram in Clinical Psychology has prepared a curriculum system for eligibility for admission to an examination for accredited psychologists since AY 2018.

Education (Subprogram in Education Sciences) 12 students
Disability Sciences 25 students The number includes students who apply for the Special Selection Process for Working Individuals and Special Selection Process of the One Year Course for Inservice Teachers.
  1. Students enroll in April.
  2. The School Education Area, Japanese Language Education Area, Social Science Education Area, Mathematics Education Area, and Science Education Area are in the Subprogram in School Education for the Next Generation. Furthermore, the 4 fields of the School Leadership Development Field, English Language Education Field, Arts Education Field, and Health and Physical Education Field are in the School Education Area.
  3. Inservice Teachers who wish to apply for the Subprogram in School Education for the Next Generation may take the examination for the one year course if the eligibility of admission is met in addition to the two year course. However, for the Health and Physical Education Field, School Education Area, there is no student recruitment for the Special Selection Process of the One Year Course for Inservice Teachers.

  5. January to February Selection Process

    Disability Sciences 4 students The number includes students who apply for the Special Selection Process for Working Individuals and Special Selection Process of the One Year Course for Inservice Teachers.

Due to the excess of successful applicants in August Selection Process, Clinical Psychology subprogram of Master’s program in Psychology doesn’t recruit new students in the January to February Selection Process in 2023. Only General Psychology subprogram of Master’s program in Psychology recruit new students in the January to February Selection Process in 2023.
    6. 2. Eligibility for Admission

      Applicants will be deemed eligible if they meet one of the following requirements:

      Applicants in the Special Selection Process for Working Individuals of the Master’s Program in Education (Subprogram in International Education and Subprogram in School Education for the Next Generation) and the Master’s Program in Disability Sciences

      If applying for the Special Selection Process for Working Individuals, it is necessary that the applicant comes under one of the following requirements (provided however, that except those who are expected) and has or is expected to have social experience (including work in business, civil service, educational institution, etc. and experience in engaging in household labor, etc.) for 2 years or more irrespective of being full-time and part-time until March 2023.

      • Individuals who have graduated from a four-year university
      • Individuals who have earned a bachelor’s degree
      • Individuals who have completed 16 years of a school curriculum overseas
      • Individuals who are designated by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
      • Individuals who are 22 years of age or who shall be 22 years of age until March 2023, and whose qualification is recognized as equivalent to a bachelor’s degree as the result of the Eligibility Screening conducted in a graduate school of our university

      Applicants in the Special Selection Process of the One Year Course for Inservice Teachers of the Master’s Program in Disability Sciences

      This program is for the purpose of responding to societal demand for the re-education of inservice teachers and acquisition of specialized certificate. In principle, the training term is 1 year.
      For the eligibility for admission, the applicant who comes under one of the above requirements and satisfies all of the following (a) to (d)

      • (a) Individuals who are working as a teacher of a school prescribed in Article 1 of the School Education Act since the time of the filing of the application.
      • (b) Individuals who have or expected to have working experience※ for a total of 3 years or more by the end of March 2023
      • (c) Individuals who already have sufficient educational practice of preparing a master’s thesis in the course of 1 year or actual achievements for research articles, etc.
      • (d) Individuals who substantially consulted in advance with the academic advisor of one’s choice for the research plan, etc.
      ※ Length of Working Experience
      • Calculated as the time to the end of March 2023; provided however, that if the individual resigns before that, it shall be by the scheduled date of resignation.
      • If the number of months of experience is shorter than 1 month, it shall be calculated by rounding up to 1 month.
      • The period of administrative leave shall not be calculated in the length of working experience.
